Jackpots are SlimKing’s title fights: rare, dramatic and impossible to predict. The SlimKing lobby offers two kinds, the networked Crown Jackpots that drop on a schedule across more than 300 slots, and Hold & Win jackpot games where prizes are built into the bonus feature. Our team explains how each one works, what they mean for bonus wagering and how to keep jackpot play within a budget. For the full library, see the games hub.

The three Crown Jackpots
| Tier | Drop rule | Size | What it means for you |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mini | Must drop every hour | Smallest | Frequent, modest prizes; several winners a day |
| Major | Must drop every day | Medium | One must-drop prize per day, bigger than the Mini |
| Mega | Progressive, no deadline | Largest, grows until won | Rare, life-changing potential, long odds |
Mini: the hourly drop
The Mini Crown Jackpot has to land before the top of each hour. The ticker in the SlimKing lobby shows the current value and a countdown. Because it drops so often, it is the tier most players are realistically likely to see.
Major: the daily drop
The Major must drop once every day before its deadline, and the SlimKing ticker shows the cut-off time. It is larger than the Mini and builds through the day as eligible spins feed the pot.
Mega: the progressive
The Mega has no deadline. A small slice of every eligible stake is added to it, so it keeps climbing until one lucky spin triggers it. This is the tier with the longest odds and the biggest headline figure; the live total is shown on every eligible SlimKing slot tile.
How the drops work
SlimKing’s Crown Jackpots are “must drop” jackpots. Each tier has a hidden trigger point set randomly within a range, and the drop happens on the spin that pushes the pot past that point, or at latest by the deadline for Mini and Major. In practice:
- You play any slot in the Crown Jackpots network with real money.
- A small part of each stake contributes to the three pots.
- When a pot hits its hidden trigger, the spin that tipped it wins, regardless of the reels’ result.
- The win is announced on screen and credited to your SlimKing balance.
No pattern, time of day or stake size makes a drop predictable. The countdown tells you when a Mini or Major must have dropped, not who will win it, and players across the whole network are competing for the same pot.
Must drop does not mean must win
Hold & Win jackpot slots
Hold & Win games carry their own fixed jackpot tiers inside the feature. Penguin King leads the way at SlimKing with 3 Pyramids of Gold Hold & Win, Vegas Blitz Hold & Win and Serpent Gold Hold & Win. Land enough coin symbols to trigger respins; each new coin locks in place and resets the count, and special symbols can award labelled jackpots. Filling the whole grid typically unlocks the top prize. Our slots guide goes deeper into the mechanic.
| Jackpot type | Where it lives | How it is won | Wagering contribution |
|---|---|---|---|
| Crown Jackpots | Network across 300+ slots | Random must-drop trigger on any eligible spin | 50% |
| Hold & Win jackpots | Inside individual games | Jackpot symbols during the respin feature | 50% |
Finding jackpot games in the SlimKing lobby
The Jackpots tab in the SlimKing lobby gathers every eligible game in one place. Crown Jackpots titles carry a small crown badge on their tile, with the current Mega value shown underneath, while Hold & Win games are easiest to find by typing “Hold & Win” into the search bar. Inside the tab you can sort by provider or by the size of the current pot.
A few things to check before you spin:
- Is the game in the Crown network? Not every slot is, so look for the badge.
- What is the stake range? UK rules cap slots at £5 per spin (£2 for players aged 18 to 24), and SlimKing applies the limit automatically.
- What does the information panel say? It lists the RTP, volatility and how the jackpot contributions work for that title.
The SlimKing exclusives, such as Southpaw Riches and Golden Gloves, are worth a look too; check their tiles for the crown badge.
Jackpots and bonus wagering
Jackpot slots count 50% towards SlimKing bonus wagering. On a £100 deposit with a £200 bonus and a £2,000 target, playing jackpot games would require £4,000 in stakes, double the amount on regular slots. The max bet while wagering is £5 per spin, which matches the UK slot stake limit anyway. If jackpots are your main interest, our team suggests clearing the bonus on regular slots first, then switching. The details are in our wagering requirements guide, and the current offers are on the promotions page.

Budgeting for jackpot play
SlimKing jackpots are tempting because the prizes are large, and that is exactly why they need a plan. Our team’s approach at SlimKing or anywhere else:
- Set a separate jackpot budget as a small slice of your entertainment spend, and stop when it is gone.
- Do not raise stakes because a countdown is running low. Someone will win; the odds for each spin barely change.
- Prefer smaller stakes and more spins. Your session lasts longer for the same budget.
- Remember the RTP. Part of each stake funds the jackpot, so base-game returns can be lower than on non-jackpot slots. Check the information panel.
- Use deposit and loss limits in your SlimKing account, and turn on reality checks.
Here is how a fixed budget plays out at different stakes:
| Jackpot budget | Stake per spin | Spins available | Roughly how long |
|---|---|---|---|
| £20 | £0.20 | 100 | 5 to 10 minutes |
| £20 | £0.50 | 40 | 2 to 4 minutes |
| £20 | £1.00 | 20 | 1 to 2 minutes |
Before any wins are added back, a lower stake simply gives you more time in the ring for the same money. Because every spin takes at least 2.5 seconds under UK rules, sessions also run at a more measured pace than they used to.
Winning a big jackpot: what happens next
A large SlimKing jackpot win is credited as cash. Before withdrawing, SlimKing may run extra checks required by UK rules, such as confirming your identity or source of funds. Have your documents ready to speed things up; our KYC verification guide lists what is accepted. Withdrawal limits are £10,000 per transaction and £50,000 per month, higher at VIP Champion level and above, and our withdrawals guide explains the timings.
Keep it fun
