SlimKing is a casino first, but its sportsbook is no warm-up act. It covers the sports British bettors care about most, from Saturday afternoon football to the big racing festivals and, fittingly for a boxing-themed brand, plenty of fight markets. Our team explains what is on the card, how the betting tools work, how to read the odds and how to get value from the Ringside Free Bet. For the casino side, head back to the games hub.

Football
Football is the biggest section of the SlimKing sportsbook. Every Premier League and EFL match has a deep market list, from corners and cards to player shots, and the Scottish Premiership gets full coverage too, including the Old Firm derbies. Bet builder and in-play are busiest here, and a Saturday accumulator remains a British staple on the SlimKing coupon.
Horse racing
The SlimKing racing section covers UK and Irish meetings with racecards, form, jockey and trainer details and non-runner updates. Each-way terms (places paid and fraction of the odds) are shown on every race. An each-way bet is two bets of equal stake, one on the horse to win and one to place, so a £5 each-way bet costs £10. Check whether SlimKing is offering extra places on big handicaps before you commit.
Boxing
Boxing suits SlimKing down to the gloves, and big British fight nights on SlimKing carry the deepest market lists. Beyond fight winner you can bet on method of victory (KO/TKO, points or decision) and round betting, where you pick the exact round a fight ends.
Darts, tennis and cricket
Darts covers the PDC calendar, including the World Championship at Alexandra Palace over Christmas. Tennis follows the ATP and WTA tours and all four Grand Slams, with Wimbledon the busiest fortnight on the SlimKing tennis page. Cricket runs from England Test series to The Hundred and county cricket, with session and player markets on the bigger matches.
In-play betting
In-play lets you bet while an event is under way, and the SlimKing in-play page lists every live event by sport. Odds move with every goal, break of serve or wicket, and the event page shows live scores and stats. A short bet delay applies so that prices can be checked before acceptance, and markets are suspended briefly after key moments.
Cash out
Cash out lets you settle a bet before the event ends, for more or less than the potential return depending on how it is going. The value updates live. Use it as a tool, not a reflex: cashing out early usually means accepting a price that favours the bookmaker. Cash out is not available on free bets. Look for the cash out icon on your SlimKing bet slip or in My Bets.
Bet builder
The SlimKing bet builder combines several selections from the same match into one bet, for example a team to win, over 2.5 goals and a named player to score. Because the selections are related, the price is calculated together rather than simply multiplied. All selections must win for the bet to pay.
Fractional vs decimal odds
UK bookmakers traditionally show fractional odds, and SlimKing defaults to them. You can switch to decimal in the settings.
| Fractional | Decimal | £10 stake returns | Implied probability |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1/2 | 1.50 | £15.00 | 66.7% |
| 4/5 | 1.80 | £18.00 | 55.6% |
| Evens (1/1) | 2.00 | £20.00 | 50.0% |
| 6/4 | 2.50 | £25.00 | 40.0% |
| 2/1 | 3.00 | £30.00 | 33.3% |
| 5/1 | 6.00 | £60.00 | 16.7% |
| 10/1 | 11.00 | £110.00 | 9.1% |
To convert fractional to decimal, divide the first number by the second and add 1: 6/4 becomes 1.5 + 1 = 2.50. Returns include your stake. Implied probability is 1 divided by the decimal odds; the bookmaker’s prices across all outcomes add up to more than 100%, and that excess is its margin.
The Ringside Free Bet
New SlimKing sports customers can claim £20 in free bets:
- Opt in when registering. It cannot be added later. Start at our registration guide.
- Deposit and place a £10 bet on any sport at odds of 1/2 (1.50) or bigger.
- Wait for settlement. Win or lose, two £10 free bets are credited once the qualifying bet settles.
- Use them within 7 days.
The free-bet stake is not returned, so a £10 free bet at 3/1 returns £30 in winnings, not £40. That makes longer odds better value for free bets than short-priced favourites. See every other offer on the promotions page.

Safer betting at SlimKing
SlimKing gives every bettor the same safer-gambling tools as casino players. Betting on sport can feel like skill, which makes it easy to over-commit after a “near miss” or a bad beat. A few habits help:
- Set a deposit limit before you place your first bet, and a loss limit if you bet in-play.
- Avoid chasing losses with bigger stakes or late-night accumulators.
- Use reality checks to see how long you have been betting.
- Take a time-out from the account settings if you need a break; self-exclusion and GAMSTOP are there for longer breaks.
- Never bet to make money or pay off debt. Betting is entertainment with a cost.
